most front doors lead to the living room

This is true Most houses Ive been into have front doors that either enter into the living room, or into a hallway that enters into the living room

Usually there's a foyer or something, it isn't literally just...door swings right into the living room.
maybe in some cases it's a minor distinction, but in most cases there's usually a coat closet, half bath, etc.. in said entryway too, and in any case it just looks odd.

Every house I've ever lived in and every house I remember visiting the front door opens directly into the living room.

Depends on the house. Like I said, it could enter in either the living room, or a hallway that leads to the living room. That hallway would be the one with a half-bath or coat closet. Like my current house, and my moms current house both lead into the living room. and immediately to the right in both house, thats a cost closet (in the living room). My Grandmas house has the hallway with a half-bath that leads to the living room But its about 50-50 for most house. Than some house are a little different

Knocking a door from the living room into that hallway would alleviate at least some of the flow issues with the house and it has obviously been remodeled recently so you have to wonder why someone didn't do that.

If the structure allowed for it I'd probably scrap that middle bedroom entirely and open that space up to the kitchen and living room so you'd have access to the other bedrooms through the hall. Then lop off part of the current living room to give a bathroom to the master bedroom. That also gives you access to the half bath from the living area rather than people having to run around through the laundry and bonus room.

The owner is having a 4th of July party or something in his outdoor bar.

"Hey Joe, I need to use the can."

"OK, walk around the front of the house and through the front door into the living room. Then go into the dining room, through the kitchen, and into the laundry, hang a left into the bonus room, and then the bathroom is the door on the left. Make it quick though, the kids will be home from soccer practice soon and will need to change clothes in their bedrooms.

I kind of assumed there was a sliding door from the laundry to the bar but that could be just a double window. Not having access to the kitchen would be annoying too.

That looks a little more reasonable.https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/8/0/AAPBpZAADr1c.jpg

I think some of those windows are actually sliding doors that directly access the outside. The satellite view really is illuminating.

The white space between the outdoor bar and the bonus room is all pool, and the whitespace right of the master bedroom above those other bedrooms has a "shed(?)" we will call it. and that bar area is roofed with the same stuff as the rest of the house.

Bedrooms need to have windows for fire escape safety... unless your state additionally has a natural light requirement, but that sounds pretty weird

And it is listed as a 3 bed, I think that just outside of the "official" count there's nothing legally stopping you from saying stuff like "fourth room could be used as a non-conforming bedroom"
They have to have 2 points of egress for safety and natural light source. Theres actually a few more random rules too.

I know in my state, it has to have a closet as well to be called a bedroom.
When I was designing my house layout, I intentionally removed a closet from an otherwise perfectly suitable bedroom just to have less bedrooms (I think the # of them impacts the tax assessed value...)

The saving grace for the house is that it has been completely renovated because I imagine it would have looked terrible when it was built in 1957. Having to walk through six rooms just to reach the master is awful imo. Did the designer intentionally try his hardest to use no hallways? I have no other explanation for such a weird layout to a ranch style home.

Oh yeah I think my state requires a closet for it to be considered a bedroom as well. That I don't really understand, but I think it's less likely to turn people away than a lack of egress
