Like people noticed how Kofi Kingston's character in WWE stopped caring about the WWE Championship as soon as he lost it to Brock Lesnar. Didn't pine, didn't feel like he needed to give himself another chance to go for it, the idea just left his character's head and he went back to hanging out with the New Day and acting goofy even though heading into WrestleMania 35 he was driven and charged to be champion. It's the writer's decision, sure, but saying a character was written poorly is not unwarranted if they do something that doesn't align with where they were the last time you checked in on them.
