Warner Bros. did this to itself by protecting people like Ezra Miller, Amber Heard, and probably many more that aren't in the spotlight.

I highly doubt DC would just cease to exist. If Warner/Discovery doesn't want anything to do with it they wouldn't just shut it down but keep the rights so it makes them no money, they'll sell it to someone. And whoever buys it (let's be honest, probably Disney) will likely continue churning out content.
