What did you think of this game?

Berseria was my first Tales game, and I liked it better. I just couldn't get into Arise's combat. Arise did have better QoL features though I think. But man, that ending segment had terrible pacing. Basically like 3 hours worth of cutscene broken up with a total of maybe 5 mins of walking and a boss fight.

Only played the demo, hated the boss fights that were in it. I was told that all the bosses were like that, so it kind of killed any interest I had in getting it.

Was like the third Tales game I played and enjoyed it quite a bit. Except for that big plot dump hallway near the end.

Meh game is meh

Awful story, only half good combat system (bosses are awful), and the characters are as bland as they come.

One of my least favorite entries in the series and extremely disappointing.

It had a lot of promise. It was fun to start, I enjoyed the combat, but it got stale rather quickly. They suffer from that issue where they give you everything combat-related too quickly, so you end up getting bored as the game goes on.

The last 20% of the game fucking DRAGGED too. I was literally skipping cutscenes because they were regurgitating the same shit over and over and over. The final dungeon was padded by a literal mirror version of itself to double the length very cheaply.

It had such potential and started strong but faded quickly. I've played Symphonia, Abyss, Vesperia, Xillia, Graces, and Xillia 2. Arise was pretty much only better than Xillia 1 IMO, and even then as I think about it, I'm going back and forth on it.
