A new home for mankind where people are born and raised...and die. Nine months ago, the cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth called side 3 proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon and launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Initial fighting lasted over 1 month and saw both sides lose half their respective populations. Any attempt from then on of either humanizing zeon, or portraying the war in a black and white sense falls flat on its face. Besides, no matter what series came after Wing it probably would have also been cancelled in the U.S. because of 9/11 anyway.
