Like the police/detectives are incompetent and the lead up to the case was done poorly. So during the case all sorts of bullshit comes up and then it ends up being someone like the prosecutor or the judge themselves who are guilty?

I'm not aware of any defense attorneys who found the real murderer in the process of defending their client from murder, but the closest thing probably is this one lawyer was arguing for his client that the victim shot himself by accident in an altercation with the client and to prove this he used a gun in the same position to demonstrate how it was possible and accidentally shot and killed himself right there on the court floor.

The defendant was later found not guilty.
