I loved Skins. It played an important part in my teenage years because when it aired I was the same age as the characters and in result could relate to what they were going through and dealing with.

Now as a 32 year old, if Euphoria is that sort of show it'd be interesting to see what teenagers these days are going through

I dunno, the reaction I see to Euphoria is mostly negative where realism is concerned. I haven't seen either and I know very little about Skins.

Never seen Skins but just finished up Euphoria last week.

Its a good show but like half of the cast are extremely unlikable and its not too realistic.

The UK version right

Stay away from the Japanese version.

Not really. Skins was like a series of interconnecting coming of age stories or lessons. I would put Degrassi in the same category as Skins.

Euphoria is more like a drama that features teens but isnt about specific coming of age lessons like Skins and Degrassi had. I think a major difference was Skins had way more comedic elements and storylines.

Yeah, Euphoria is pretty unapologeticly unreal. There arent that many parties and drugs in college, let alone high school.

What it is is a show about how our traumas shape us and usually for the worse. All of the main cast are fundamentally damaged people to one extent or another. And the show has incredible empathy for each one of these broken dumb asses. Rue doesnt want to live or die. Nate is twisted by a lifetime of rage. Jules hasnt learned to love herself or to take ownership of her body and her passions. Cassie loathes herself for being a histrionic slut at the same time that she loves being the center of attention. And so on

I mean, you do you, but it's pretty brilliant. Zendaya won an Emmy for her part as Rue, because she manages to bring the role of an opioid-addicted teen to terrible, pathetic, beautiful life. And, IMO, there isn't a performance worse than good. Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, and Sydney Sweeney also knock it out of the park.

Not really. Most americans don't even know it exists because the american version got canceled after parents watched it and freaked the fuck out

There was also something called misfits, is that like skins? Whichever one had Nathalie Emmanuelle showing some skin in that one shot you know the one
