Did anyone actually play 6

I played the demo for 6 on Switch and the performance issues convinced me to wait for the PS port.

I'm still waiting, because the gameplay changes sound terrible, and the shift to 3D models that they're doubling down on doesn't look good IMO.

I was waiting for the playstation port but then heard the game was trash and haven't purchased it yet.

When Disgaea 8 tho?

I played the Disgaea 6 demo and realized this game just doesn't work anymore.
I think that entire wave of NIS tactical RPGs needs to be left in the past.

Even D3 was pushing it. D1 sure was great when it came out, though!

I thought D4 was great at least, but that's the last one I played. The changes in 6 sound really, really bad just to hear them summarized.

Here's my guess

6 had all those V tuber skins in it right

maybe those deals are expiring and they're forced to stop selling the game at some point so they had to quickly get the next one out

It's more like 6 was just really awful(actually was in the top 10 worst rated games in Japan that year on Amazon) so they're quick to try to fix the damage with a hopefully decent entry that addresses most of 6's problems to salvage the series's reputation

I dragged myself through to the end of D1 because the enemy level scaling gets absolutely ridiculous late in the game, but I finished it. For every good thing, there were just as many flaws - Like the extreme fluidity in damage output. Leveling up weaker characters was a nightmare, and you really had no idea when an enemy would actually die.

I tried to start D2 a couple of times "back in the day", only to effectively go "..Do I really want to put myself through another Disgaea game?" only to conclude my answer was no.

I wanted to like 6 for the hololive and prozd voices but it just never clicked with me
