you guys remember sonicdevil? he played with us one night (joker main). well he's prolly never gonna be around again. at the end of last semester, he told me he doesnt really like school, and probably isn't going to come back any time soon. He didn't enroll this semester, and he ended up leaving the smash club discord

Also I'm hating discord, I can't find any people on any of the channels I've joined. Did they change something about the mobile version or am I just dumb? I used to interact on rideshort's server without issue.

Also, has anyone heard of dash walking? I just found out about this from one of Grace and Glory's videos and holy shit, if your character has a fast dash like Falcon it's basically a teleport. I'll definitely be implementing this. The timing is strict but missing it just means misinputting a tilt

Nah that's the thing I can't, I wasn't even using my router I was trying out my phone as a mobile hotspot. For some reason my switch isn't connecting to my router right now (even though my phone can, I don't understand that). I have a renting a room in a house situation so the router isn't mine to tamper with.

I could've told you that. I was doing hotspot connection at the hotel years back lol. In case you didn't do it. Delete the saved network on your Switch and manually connect again.

Yeah I did that lol. Another time. A shame because I really wanted to try out the dash walk. Maybe it's just me but it seems busted. The only other tech I feel that strongly about is attack cancel

Dash walking is cool. I use it for zss sometimes to like pivot cancel f tilts or with wolf to do some boost grabs and spaces f tilts. It's a nice movement mix up, but both of them have such good initial dashes anyway I don't use it all that much.

For discord, a lot of those servers need you to "read the rules" then react an emote or something to the main channel in order to use it and gain permissions. Example from wolf cord:

Thanks for explaining that about discord, I'll look into it. Yeah I'm testing it with all three of those characters and Falcon does seem to benefit much more. He gets a full 2 units most of the time while Wolf and ZSS only get about 1

It's not even just the distance of the dash walk itself though. Since you're walking after the dash walk even while holding the direction you have way more control over your character. I don't think there's another way to walk so effortlessly
