I have a joke degree and still can't compete with them

Mom is middle class. Dad is a landlord who will probably never tell me just how much money he makes, but I imagine it's a lot because he pretty much owns most of the town square of where he lives.

I have a hard time being hired for 17/hr.

Tough to say. My parents were divorced. My dad was wealthy but I lived with my mom who was middle, but child support made me upper middle. I am now upper middle, so I guess roughly the same.

My dad is retired, but my mom still works and I'm 1 class below her. She's upper middle class.

Same. Almost exactly the same.

Surburban, Upper/Middle class homeowners with 2 kids.

They originally bought a house that ended up selling for about 100K more than I paid for mine, but other than that, I'm basically in the same spot they were when they were both in their early 40's.

I only "make" 60k a year, while my dad makes around 600k, but my parents still make most major purchases for me (house, car, etc.), so I don't really feel like I'm in an economic class lower than them.

I grew up middle class but I'll never have what my parents did.

The home I grew up in is likely a million dollar house these days. I'll never be able to afford any home where I live and consider myself lucky that I can afford to rent a place on my own.

I own my home and have about 60k in stocks, while making about 45k take home pay so Id consider myself lower middle class

My dad owned a home, supported my mom and us two kids on his salary alone, and was able to invest enough so we would have college funds and he has about a million dollars in retirement funds/assets.

So Id put my parents a level above me. Maybe two but theyve always been frugal and living below their means so wouldnt really consider their lifestyle to be upper middle class

My parents were/are poor so I've jumped a couple of levels after landing a software job.

i wait tables for chump change to help keep groceries in the house and buy myself the stray geek-shit, while wife's rad-tech job keeps the bills paid and her supplied with all the streaming.

My dad goes on cruises with the Reagans. Yes those Reagans.

Both of my parents were single parents for the majority of their lives. So would guess one to two levels above since ive been with someone for almost 15 years now and combined we're in a pretty good spot.

Dad brags how he had a truck and boat at 16 years old. I'm still driving a Honda at 31 years old. I'm doing well, just cheap as fuck

Either 1 or 2 depending on whether you count unrealized stock gains.

I was raised poor. Well below the poverty line. For a lot of my childhood Dad was only one working, and he refused to spend his money on us. So mom, my brother, and me would often have to go without food. He'd graciously buy a loaf of bread sometimes so we could have toast. Luckily we lived next door to my mom's parents. So when things got really desparate they would help.

Once we were older mom got a job which helped a ton, but wasn't exactly life changing. As all her money went towards bills and food. Any extra she managed to save dad took, and cussed/beat her for not having more for him.

After high school, we were all working so we actually managed to keep the bills paid and food on the table, and my brother and I could afford some luxuries like video games. But both my parents are terrible with money, it just seems to go away. So they still relied heavily on me and my brother.

I currently have managed to save up quite a bit and am coasting between jobs since I can afford it. I have a bit of a passive income, so that's helping. I think we're right on the line now, maybe just above... So, either the same or one step up. Still absolutely lower class though. Bottom of lower class, just not bottom of the Barrell any more.

Probably comparable, if a little lower, but I'm a spendthrift compared to them so they have more money than me.
