If you do OF as an 18 year old, the worst that happens is your nudes are out there. In (current year), that's not exactly the worst thing in the world. It's more of an "well fuck, that sucks" sort of situation.

What if you do college as an 18 year old? Well now you have $80,000 in student debt, you might have a career you don't like that you just wasted 2-8 years of your life studying for, and realistically you're probably not going to be able to change that for the rest of your life and now you're miserable.

Like really, what's worse? I'd lean that the college choice will have more lifelong impacts than OF.

The upside for getting a 4 year degree is starting at 80-90-100k in a career you may enjoy. But you face the risks I spelled out before.

The upside to OF is if you hit it big, you'll be set for life being a millionaire before you're 25 doing someting that takes minimal effort to achieve, however your chances of getting lucky are smaller than getting lucky with your college degree.

Additionally, if you don't strike it big on OF, your pics probably won't proliferate that far and pose a very low risk of ever impacting you in a negative way socially.

Can use your nudes to pay off the college debt. Or save first then use the money to pay, skip the debt entirely.

I was a mental wreck at 18, so naturally I was pushed to go to college. Would have felt less exploited if I did do nudes. At least I wouldn't still be getting fucked over 15 years later.

How is OF itself even predatory? While both are (mostly) voluntary, societal norms hit us pretty early that after school, you go to kollege, then get a job/kareer. Your folks likely expect it, and in a lot of kases, are pushing you into it. Meanwhile everyone is pointing far away from any sort of porn or sex work except that 1 openly horny friend who you've learned not to take seriously.

OF shouldn't have negative consequences at all really

Making the right decision about what to do next, and making the wrong decision... shouldn't have consequences either, but I can kind of see why it does (in my case)

As I stated before, your concerns about the downside to OF may have been true in like...the 90's or early 00's, but in (current year), there negative social implications of being found out to have an onlyfans are minimal at best, unless you're like a gradeschool teacher working in a hyperconservative/religious part of the country that is effectively living in the 90's anyway.

I'd say more college students have been stalked and murdered on campus than OF creators have if you put both side by side in the years OF has existed.

To list a few things about college are unwanted sexual attention, binge drinking and STDs all point to autonomy gone awry.

It's better to do OF and be filthy rich within 5 years than to go to collage for 5+ years and be drowned in debt to earn a degree for a career that they are not promised to get.
