The game is rated T (PEGI 12), but Rick and Morty is unarguably Adult-rated. The amount of sexual themes, strong language, and brutal violence that happens in even a single episode would skyrocket any game to at least rated M.

And I get that their just skins and voices and none of that content is present in Fortnite, but Rick and Morty has invaded the pop culture space so deeply that everybody knows what that IP represents and portrays.

I guess parents/consumers/governments just don't care enough to complain about it, and that's why they can get away with it.

you answered your own question, rating systems dont include anything besides the text itself.

They're not doing anything M rated in Fortnite. They have Rick and Morty shit in Rocket League as well.

Not personally but there's a difference between adult content and MA content so it's not really a fair comparison with how you're applying it. Still, a logo seems fine. I think we should also be able to say porn sites by name on this site.

IMO something like Rick and Morty is just as notorious for its adult content as one of those IPs, so to me if one is acceptable then the rest should be.

Buuuuut I'm not exactly arguing that they censor what already exists, moreso I'm calling attention to something that I feel wouldn't fly 15+ years ago.

Rick and Morty is not pornography. if you don't know the difference, might i suggest you research pornography.

Nah there's a difference between violence and bad language, and nudity/explicit sex. Not that I think nudity/sex is worse than violence, but the AO rating and the M rating have specific criteria and simply having a logo or a character in a game wouldn't warrant one of those ratings.

If this were true, showing silent sex scenes in games with full nudity would be ok. It isn't. Clearly it's text and imagery.

You often can get away with a lot of euphemisms and hinting however.

Eh, yea I can concede to an extent. But half the aliens and worlds they explore are full of boobs, nipples, testicle monsters, and dick shapes galore.

Smash made a lot of concessions to include snake and keep the T rating.

Rick and Morty were in freaking Space Jam 2.

Nobody cares.

Just don't have them swear.
