The lyrics are amazing, especially towards the end.

Always gives me the chills. It's even better when you have context for everything, and the singer is really good. He wrote this song from a hospital bed.

FFXIV has some damn good songs, and I still think this is probably the single best one in the game if we're talking strictly lyrical songs.

Yeah, To the Edge is absolutely fucking GOATed, tbh. The fact that Soken made that in a fucking hospital, while undergoing cancer treatment in solitude, with no emotional/mental support, as well is just...goddamn.

Yup.He didn't want the team who was already behind due to COVID-19 in full force (this was early-ish 2020), to become demotivated or find more difficulty in their work, so he decided to just....not tell them what he was having to deal with (other than the people that he had to for obvious reasons like his boss & HR).
