It's a bench press where you have the bar set just above your chest and you do one rep cold, then rest 30 seconds to a minute before your next "set" of one rep.

From what I've learned, this is harder because you won't have lactic acid coursing through your muscle, which aids in the lift, compared to normal bench where you lower the bar first and then lift.

Dead press is supposed to help your normal bench tremendously. We'll see how this goes!

It's a lot tougher, you can do the same thing with a pushup by starting at ground level.
