Okay vague description incoming. I saw on either Netflix or Prime that he had a series of short sci fi stories and it looked interesting. No idea the name, added it to my watchlist so I can check later.

Ask him if Elysium is a comedy, or the scene where Matt Damon is dying from radiation poisoning sustained in a work incident and his boss tells the doctor to make sure he doesn't bleed on the carpet was meant as a serious analogy of capitalist employer-employee relationships made by a human above the age of 19.

Never saw Elysium, but this sounds very close to describing a S4 Monty Python's Flying Circus sketch (aka the final series that John Cleese walked away from because the writing was going downhill fast). Maybe Blomkamp could save face by claiming he was paying homage to this sketch.
