Here's another one.

1. Rant about capitalism on Twitch
2. Ask for donations
3. Buy $2.7 million house

You see, the key to taking money from depressed people is to take the sense of choice away from them. Nothing about the situation is their fault so there's nothing they can do about....except donate their money to the scammer's cause. They'll take your money and make it all better!

It's the televangelist model.
