As much as we make fun of theirs. Maybe they do and I just don't see it much.

But tbf, we Americans make fun of our own accents enough, primarily the Southern accent.

But as far as British accents go, my kid's current favorite is saying "bottle of water" with a thick Cockney accent that doesn't have the t's in it

They do. I seen uk parkour vlog vids where the british ppl in the vid mimic American accents in a sarcastic way when they train with Americans.

I can't imagine why they would want to take the piss with us in that fashion. That's rude. I'm all for having proper chinwags without some gobby bloke mocking us.

Dutch person here. Whenever I hear/read an American saying something typically conservative or short-sighted, I often get the urge to mock them by saying something like "Yeeeeehaw you betcha Billy Bob!" or "Aah'll praay fer yew!"

that's why so many British actors can convincingly do American accents, because they spend so much time making fun of them

"Hey look at me, Im an american! I love guns, diabeetus and Donald Trump! Land of the free baybay! YEEHAAAWWW!!!"

British accent? Do you mean English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish accents? And what most Americans think are English accents are in fact not actual English accents.

They do make fun of our accents, though moreso southern and New York/Boston accents than general American accents.

This is because American English is why most countries speak English due to tourism and films.

So like a person from South Korea who knew english would understand an American but have trouble with British accent.
