People who are born with cleft palates usually undergo surgeries and it's mostly cosmetic.

That's a birth defect. Foreskin is just what a penis has. Should parents be allowed to just cut off their child's face/body if they think it would benefit their life? "That nose will get them bullied." "That appendix might rupture one day." "My girl will never find a man looking like that." What makes the penis simultaneously so important and irrelevant that it can be put under the knife at parental discretion while we balk at other procedures?

You don't have a frame of reference to make such a claim.

I mean I'm not up for yet another US-centric foreskin debate but just wanting to point out that this isn't true, cleft palates have notable impacts on speech and nasal passage issues. they cause p significant issues for those in developing countries who grew up with them untreated

Prefer the aesthetic of cut more than uncut.

I was unfortunately mutilated without my consent. Are you seriously trying to argue that having a natural penis is a health risk? And significant enough that we must force cosmetic surgery on non-consenting parties?

Also bold of you to assume to the average American parent getting their child circumcised actually weighed the pros and cons and made an educated decision (Not that it matters since violations of bodily autonomy are unacceptable). They're just doing what society expects because that's how they were raised. Unfortunately, society has commonly accepted many horrific things throughout human history.

I'm uncut but wish I wasn't, I have mild phimosis (can still retract my foreskin but it bounces back unless I keep retracted with my hand. condoms are a bitch to put on and keep on)

But yeah, part of me stills feels weird about getting a circumcision as adult, too worried I'll regret it

I just hate that such a blatant violation of bodily autonomy is normalized in our society and that most people are just conditioned to go along with it like sheep. I shudder to think what people now would accept if they had been born in a past time.

Again, tell someone you're giving your child a facelift to minimize bullying or that you're getting one of their healthy organs cut out so they can't fail in the future. See if they accept it as easily as infant circumcision. Why is being pro-autonomy, pro-choice weird?

I have zero problem with the concept of circumcision. If an adult is hurting no one and the procedure is safe and ethical, who is anyone to interfere in any way?

Actually, it's more the tight banjo string that pulls up the foreskin with me. I just said phimosis because I forget the medical term for what I have. I looked it up once. I think it's surgery or just deal with it.

Sex without a condom/blowjobs are still awesome, it's just everything involving condoms which is a bit of a pain... Quite annoying as you could imagine
