Wrath of Khan or First Contact

Although I have to get props to The Voyage Home for being clearly one of the most fun to make

The Undiscovered country, mostly for being so meta in both Star Trek and world politics... loved First Contact for showing some of the earlier/middle parts of ST history

I've only seen a few of them, but it's unquestionably Wrath of Khan.

First Contact kind of ruins the Borg and it's weird that they follow the A-Plot/B-Plot TV format. That works in a TV episode, not so much a movie.

Yeah, I think most Star Trek movies are good if you like Trek.

Wrath of Khan is just an excellent fucking movie.

Shatner and Montalban played great off of each-other, yet they were never on set at the same time since 1967.

I've only seen the Chris Pine ones, i've never watched an original Trek movie. I think my dad rented the 4th one (?) the year it released and I was young, and think I fell asleep. I'm pretty green on Trek, I don't mind what i've seen though.

I would really recommend Wrath of Khan. It's pretty easy as a stand-alone (another thing that makes it kind of unique as a Trek movie).

Maybe i'll try it, wife loves the movies so she'd be down for a watch. I've also watched most of the Prodigy animated series and a couple episodes of Strange New Worlds, left that out earlier.

It's a fun movie if you don't take it seriously, but it is more like a really long episode than a theatrical movie.

On top of being a great movie, it was a great send off for the original crew.

I have the battle of Khitomer and subsequent thwarting of assasination which somehow necessatited the whole bridge crew set as a loop when I need to feel inspired :)

Yeah, I watched it with someone who had to point out the inherent comedy in Chekov being the one to try to get into a nuclear sub.

I dunno, the reboot or IV probably. I remember liking IV a lot, but havent seen any of the pre-reboot ones in ages. I should probably watch the older ones again since everyone loves Wrath of Khan and I dont really remember anything other than Kirk yelling because its memed to death, and the ending.

I liked the 2009 reboot a lot. I get why a lot of people dont like Into Darkness but I dont mind it, Beyond is better, though.
