https://thehill.com/policy/finance/3589703-republicans-vow-hell-for-democrats-this-weekend-over-economic-bill/ Republicans are sharpening their knives while the Senate prepares to hunker in for a long weekend as Democrats deploy a special process to pass the partys sprawling health care, tax and climate plan without buy-in from across the aisle. Sen. John Thune (S.D.), the No. 2 Senate Republican, acknowledged the issue during the press conference on Friday, questioning whether Manchin and Sinema would vote for such an amendment. Meanwhile, republicans will squeak in a small majority over the midterms, then repeatedly push an automatically-vetoed "repeal this thing!" bill over and over again for the next two years - only to suddenly stop if a republican gets elected president. As much as the democrats are the "do nothing" party, the republicans are somehow aggressive about doing nothing. ... Copied to Clipboard!
