can you actually order the buns well done? Yeah feel bad asking for specific shit like that when theyre slammed like the were tonight but that sounds so good. i love the crispy edges of the buns.

They're opening a 3rd one near by, walking distance from my in laws.. that's not good :P

I wasnt being serious in my reply but I looked it up and apparently you can actually order extra toasted buns. They just leave them on the grill for a little longer so not too much extra labor on their end, just more time consuming.

i worked at a shake shack for a couple months last year part time when i was desperate for money. by far the worst job i ever had but they had this cool rolling machine thing (this metal roller that had butter/oil all over it the cooks would rub the buns on) they used before grilling the buns on a flat top grill.

i know its not that much extra work but it do feel bad making special requests for people busting their ass over a hot grill for not even a living wage lol

I think those rollers might be standard at most fast food burger joints. I worked at an A&W/KFC hybrid for a couple years during college and we had one of those for the buns as well

wasnt the worst job I had (Sprouts gets that honor) because it was a slow traffic restaurant and me and the other employees would just get really stoned most the time. My assistant managers girlfriend would park in the parking lot by the employee back entrance, and wed all take turns going out and taking bong rips out of her car. It was a constant rotation for our whole shift minus the one or two hours during dinner rush when we needed all hands on deck. The assistant manager abused her power and would stay out even longer than the rest of us though, and sometimes she wouldnt even come in during the rush. After I moved to NYC, she got fired because the district managers found out about the weed. Some narc customers complained I guess.

its by far the best fast food burger. and its also cheaper than every other fast food burger.

I definitely think theyre the best of the cheap tier burger chains, but maybe thats just my California blood speaking. I like Shake Shack and Five Guys more overall, but theyre also in a different pricing tier imo.

shake shack definitely has a better burger. It was really cheap for me to eat there when i was working there. but after i stopped getting the employee discount, i stopped going. really not down to spend $10 on a fast food burger lol

5 guys fucking sucks though. $15-$20for an EXTREMELY average burger and horrible French fries? they can go fuck themselves
