Having it suddenly rain down HARD and the ride gets shut down when you're like 10 minutes away from getting on.

So that happened to me earlier at Hershey Park. It sucked.

Luckily it was near the end of the day and I had gotten on some rides earlier.

All in all, it was a fun trip.

How was today for the rest of you guys?

I find amusement parks depressing these days. Seeing all these unfortunate bastards bankrupting themselves for a few hours of fleeting gratification makes me feel bad for them, and I dont like feeling bad for other people.

For what its worth, we basically only spent money on the tickets.

We ate lunch outside before going in, brought our own water bottles, and made a beeline to as many rides as possible, to get the most out of it, since we didn't go for the Fast Track/Pass thing.

try waiting an hour, having the coaster pull up as you are next for the front seat, then throwing up due to the heat....

I mean...even if you get to ride it eventually...you will have waited 60 minutes in a line for like 5 minutes of being tossed around a bit in a seat.

It only takes a little bit of math to see...amusement parks are NOT worth it if you go when there's even a regular sized crowd there... At best you might be able to break even in having fun in the early hours of the parks if you're super lucky and run to every ride before the lines start.

I mean...you'll still have to drive there super early...pay high ticket prices...possibly stand in the heat ect...and there's still the overly loud music they all play because apparently they hate people thinking any thoughts in their heads at all...

...You know what...scratch that...even if NOBODY else is there an amusement park doesn't ever produce a net value of "fun". I wish Covid had just killed these parks off...but sadly they are still around.

Goliath at six flags is the best fuckin roller coaster. That first drop is insane.
