Nah she's implementing the double buffer damage shot exploit, also binds all her movements to mouse because it reduces cooldown on ver 0.1.8 commonly known as version Theta, they patched it out but this is the version the community plays

to be fair, at the time using only the mouse was actually a control scheme.

it's actually the default controls for DOOM II.

you push the mouse to move forward, and, yes, you have to pick up the mouse a lot. track balls were preferred by many gamers.

Reminds me of Gears of War being played in Hurt Locker, set in a time when the 360 wasn't even out yet

There is a TV show called Life.
In one episode we follow the investigation around what appears to be a hate crime against some Persian college students and then it's revealed that (dun dun DAH) they were selling drugs. Apparently, for some reason, one of the drug dealers kept his records hidden in a modded Xbox.
Now, here's the funny part, in order to access the Excel files containing all the records of drug-trafficking and cash locations, it seems that players have to reach "level 10" in Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. One would think keeping such information on a separate flash drive or something similar would make more sense in case one needed speedy access, but whatever.
Anyway, the police figure this out through some bizarre leap of logic, and then it turns out that computer technician in the department really sucks at the game (which is apparently so exciting that an entire crowd forms around him to cheer him on as he plays). The drug dealer's sister, though, is seen watching and playing along on an invisible controller, so she's led into the room and proceeds to whoop ass as The Prince and his counterpart.
She reaches level 10 and WHAM, the Xbox game turns into Windows and the file opens automatic in Microsoft Office.

you guys are wrong. she actually does look like she's playing Doom 2 circa 1998.

there is some mismatch with the stuff on the screen, ill give u that, but i have no doubt she observed someone playing Doom 2 or played it herself.

remember the episode of scrubs where turk wants someone to play a video game with him cause he is stuck on a level and wants a bit of help
only to eventually learn carla is great at the game and has beaten it multiple times so she helps him
and she doesnt even hold the controller properly

oh remember the woman on live tv talking about zelda and acting like she knew what she was talking about even though she had clearly never played zelda because she was convinced link was a woman named zelda
