metallica go through ups and downs with their live show but seems like theyve been on fire since 2019 or so. James voice is really good compared to the past, I think he must have had a coach to try to replicate how he sounded in the 80s a bit better for those songs

He went to rehab again recently, so maybe that had something to do with it. Dudes 60, Im not expecting him to sound like 1985 anymore.

To be fair, James polled the crowd and garnered reactions for thumbs up for St Anger and thumbs down. So at least they acknowledge that this album stinks. But of all songs from St Anger, why play "Dirty Window"?

So far, this song has murdered the crowd's energy LOL.

When I was 13 I saw Metallica on the St. Anger tour actually

Even then nobody liked it, and it was like a year after it came out

Theyre playing it at every show on this tour

i can respect going back and revisiting deeper cuts for bigger fans but I guarantee you none of their fans would rather hear this over basically any song from any other album

I really like how they play basically any song from the back catalog. they have a lot of hardcore fans who are fans of particular songs and want to hear them.

I saw Metallica at Outsidelands in 2013 or 2012 and it was awesome with the exception of them not doing an encore which was fucking lame. They were visibly upset the entire time but they still put on a good show lol even got a pick that night.

playing Whiplash is cool tho, they didnt play that last time I saw them

If anything its long past time for them to drop Whiskey in the Jar from the setlist
