a lawyer? fuck no. get a financial advisor. they will help you to not only secure and save your money, but to grow it as well. when you have nothing, growing your money is almost impossible. but when you have that much? your money will literally just make more money. and they will show you how because there's profit in it for them to do so.

2.Get a Financial Advisor, start planning
3. Start Investing
4. Pay off any dept you owe, and only your own.
5. Wait till investment earns you more money consistently
6. Execute plan

thats more than likely because those people are bad with money to begin with, I mean, how in the ever living fuck would any person with the slightest bit of self-discipline burn through millions of dollars in just a few years? My net worth is in the 6 figures and I track every dollar the same as I did when I was living on ramen and Kraft in my studio

If they were sensible with their money in the beginning, they'd have no place in playing the lottery.

There's a famous reddit post out there that details every step of what you should do. But it basically boils down to lawyer up, get a financial advisor from a big well known firm, and set aside a fixed amount of what you'll give away to friends and family and what not. Don't go over.

why would you go broke if you dont spend all your money like those idiots? they go and buy a mansion and a ferrari and go out drinking for a month and gambling and thats how they go broke. just dont do that and you're set for life

Seems simple enough to avoid going broke. Spend most of it however you want, but if you get down to the last few million, go back to living as you had been minus needing to work.

Some states allow you to keep all of your privacy (name, face, etc.), but not all.

We here in PA must reveal our names, but those that live in DE can remain anonymous.

Definitely security is the first thing you'd want to look into.
