Even though I personally prefer Sonic 2, it's hard for me to deny that S3+K was kind of a magnum opus of a game. The music was phenomenal, and there's just so much to do / replay. Sonic 2 was my favorite. I had Sonic 2 and the Knuckles game. You could still stack them and play as Knuckles in Sonic 2. For some reason, I never got Sonic 3. Not sure why.
