After just coming back because I finally found the Hammond Collection T-Rex at Target only to be confused by why the damn thing was so loose in box.

Chalking it up to maybe it was a return cus these things are $50. Get home and behold! Someone bought another T-Rex of the same color and swapped them out with the actual HC T-Rex so off to Target I go.

To make this a fun topic for toy/figure collectors what was one time you bought a figure and got fucked out of the actual figure you were purchasing. (Be it swapped figure, no figure, broken, etc)

I'd laugh if I was the employee who had to do the return

I haven't really been scammed on any toy or figure I've gotten lately

I've been collecting the Jakks Mario figures and the Hot Wheels Mario Kart stuff lately

Can't wait until Marvel Legends goes windowless so you can't see what you're buying. Great time ahead.

it mainly sucks because stores rarely get new inventory, and I hate buying this stuff online

Toy people are the worst and some of the dumbest people you'll come across. Same with wrestling fans.

I say this as someone who is a huge fan of both. So fuck me.

To be clear: Some were great, but then you'd have the crowds of manchildren who'd come harass the tcg vendor every morning, or the people who'd bring their 5 kids and friends to get past the 1-per-customer limit on collectable toys and would treat all the employees like shit
