Do you use an ethernet jack for your PC?

Got me thinking, I recently purchased a laptop with one- the first one I've had in years.

Do you use one on your PC/Laptop? Does it make much of a difference vs WiFi in 2022?

I don't. My PC is in my room and my router is not... not worth running a super long ethernet cable between the two when I have a 7 year old son.

Yeah, I put the modem and router near my PC in my bedroom. I dont have any wifi adapter on it so couldnt say if it makes a huge difference.

Yup, I have a 10G ethernet port connected to my router with a 10G SFP+ module, so I can get those sweet, sweet speeds above a gigabit from my ISP. Sure, I could do it wirelessly, but I'd rather have a hard connection since I'm right there.

That must be nice, those speeds are GOAT. I personally can't hardwire because the router is in another room unless I want to spend time away from the neckbeard nest.

This, except the router is on a different floor altogether as well.

Yes. I even have a cable running out of my room (just, lying on the floor through my doorway lol) into the router like...20 feet away.
