Tbh i binged 4 seasons back before season 5 so i must have missed all da clues

I won't say that I necessarily believed he was gay/bi, since him losing his partner mirrored *heavy Breaking Bad spoilers* Hank being killed in front of Walt by the neo-nazis, but the latest BCS episode helped clear things up, for me.

I think I was partly thrown off when Gus said he had a family in BB, but I guess that was just a front since we never see anything about them.

but tbf, gay/bi men have had wives and children, so I didn't close off the idea that he might fall under that umbrella when people were theorizing about it during the BB days.

Yeah that bit in Breaking Bad where Gus mentions kids and has toys in the background is odd.

I don't think the writers knew Gus was gay until Season 4.

My thoughts on it? I don't care really. Gus loved Max and the desire for revenge fuels everything he does, to the extent that he can't even love anyone else anymore due to fear of losing it. Whether that's platonic love or sexual love isn't really all that relevant. A part of Gus died with Max

I guess it's good to see LGBT representation in media . Although once again this would be an example of gay people never getting a happy ending in media which is a solid trope that has been going on in Hollywood/mainstream TV for a century.

I took it as Gus trying to relate to Walt although through deception. It's an act like Gus' public persona in general.

Its been heavily hinted for like a decade already. It amazes me that there are still people who are in the least bit shocked by it

Havent seen the new season but i immediately thought gus. He just has that vibe to him. Not that thats a bad thing.

Breaking Bad made it clear he was gay, without literally having to have a character verbally announce it.

This probably isn't my place to speak, but it's weird to refer to an individual as LGBT. Gus is gay.

okay, both fair points

it adds a bit of flair to his lore but doesn't really affect much, his sexuality has never been a focal point of the current story. it feels like a fan theory that the writers went along with in bcs as I recall it being rather ambiguous in breaking bad. it just seems like he's been tick marked as a gay character for social capital like dumbledore than anything meaningful.
