Was probably like Madden 18 or something but I played most maddens when they came on gamepass. Completely skipped last year tho. Always hated that franchise never changed. This time it looks like they actually made changes so MAYBE this is a buy. FINALLY it looks like there are substantial changes. Everything they showed from Free Agency, Draft, Training Camp, Etc was actually in Madden 2001 on the N64. After EA bought the NFL license they removed all the features, you can look at Franchise on Madden 06, a completely bare bones experience. This new exclusivity deal that was signed by the NFL apparently requires them to make a certain amount of money each year to keep the license.
