I think the games have a better plot outline than RE games. At least for movies.

The first one is pretty.

Never saw the second one, but I get the feeling they only made it...because they forgot to kill Sean Bean and needed to make another movie to finish the job.

Silent Hill 2 (game) and the first movie are both really good

Outside of that? Not too sure

Until Sonic and Detective Pikachu, Silent Hill was the only good video game movie IMO. It doesn't adapt the games all that well, but it does a good job of capturing the feel of them. Using the games' soundtrack helps a lot in that regard.

They're going to be making a new one...next year I think? And a Fatal Frame movie after that.

Somehow the first one has fans and I will never understand it. Its got a pretty good beginning but once the movie gets to silent hill it gets super cheesy with the direction they take the plot. Its not like uwe boll or jojovich resident evil bad but its really not great and kind of boring ultimately

the second movie is just utter schlock. I have only seen it once and it was very funny but definitely didnt mean to be. Watch it if youre into train wreck movies

First one is good and the second one really isnt.

Some people seem to like the first movie. Not me. Not at all. I will admit that the second one is even worse.
