because your neighbors are blasting their shit well past the legal hours, don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves and don't want to be civil and talk even though you nicely knocked a few times to try and open civil discourse. Then to only finally have them try to talk it right afterward and have to hash it out with them and apologise for even having to get the police involved in the first place. I get it's the Summer and people want to live it up and have fun, but damn... This is why I hate people.

I was thinking the same exact thing, but then I realized it was probably more than one person.

The kind of people that blast music in the middle of the night generally can't be reasoned with. They'll get super pissed if someone calls the cops on them, but nothing short of a visit from the police would have made them stop.

What's the living arrangement? Apartment building or houses?

They were probably drunk. Better off almost always going to the police and letting them decide what to do.
