Don't know what possessed me to do it. I honestly didn't find 13 terrible I like it more than 10 tbh. Horrible opinion I know but I really don't like FFX

Not a horrible opinion at all, the series died at FF9 for me.

That's how I feel 9 is the last real one and my personal favorite. Everything people complain about with current FF started in X and they act like it didn't.

i liked the XIII trilogy and was not a huge fan of X.

i do wanna replay XIII though to see if my tastes have changed in ten years

I played it at launch and liked it. I really think if the la-cie fal-cie stuff had not weird ass names it would be considered better. It's easily the most strategic of the main series. You can beat every other main series game by just mashing attack but the paradigm system makes things interesting and gives you multiple ways to confront battles.

13-2 is one of my favorite FF games. Fantastic antagonist. Makes a lot of positive changes from the issues I had in the first one. It's just fun.

There's still some issues about the mythology of the world that I wish they explained better. Some of it isn't explicitly told in game until 13-3.

Xiii-2 is honestly one of my favorites in the series if you only focus on the core gameplay. I would love to see it replicated in a better fleshed out game world. As a sequel it's level designs end up being kind of lazy. I enjoy time travel stories so that part was fun for me but I don't think it was executed super well.

Monster recruitment and customization was a ton of fun. I wish there was more to do with it and that so much of it wasn't locked to late in the game.

The colleseum dlc also had a ton of potential but half of it ended up being ffxiii stuff. That's fine but it could have been more epic if it had focused on old ff references and then finishing up with the story piece revolving around snow.

Like I said I like the game quite a bit but I did replay it earlier this year so some of my criticisms are a bit fresh.

make sure you check out how to distribute your stats, it makes a difference towards the end

it's a fun, fanservice-y game similar to 10-2

one of these days i need to get the 1st game. cant start 13-2 till i finish the 1st.

I really want to play it, but I'm kinda holding out on a XIII collection. I wouldn't mind all 3 games with all the DLC and QoL features

I enjoyed XIII, one of the few who don't hate it.

Looked up a stat distribution guide as suggested. Couple hours into the game just met up with an older Hope

I don't regret playing XIII-2, in some ways it is even an improvement on the first game, but overall the time travel element is too out there and I wouldn't finish the game or take it seriously.

Enjoying it so far. Just finished the segment with Snow and the giant flan

A lot of people loved it. It just wasn't popular with the older demographic. Ask anyone who played it as a child if they liked it and it will be almost entirely positive responses.

Yeah I like XIII and had played the entire franchise up to that point. X is my least favorite I think I said that already though

I loved X, and also liked 13. I didn't like 13-2 as much though.

Mainline series, not franchise. It's super dubious to say that II is better than X, it is trolling to say that Airborne Brigade is better than it.

I liked 13-2 enough to finish it. Can't say the same about the other two games in the trilogy.

I actually loved XIII and I enjoyed XIII-2 as well. I actually liked each sequel less than the previous, but still liked Lightning Returns for a playthrough but XIII I've replayed many times, and XIII-2 I've replayed a couple of times. Don't see myself replaying Lightning Returns.

I loved the entire XIII trilogy, but I wasn't a long time final fantasy fan or anything. I had only played 7, 10 and 12 before I played 13. So I didn't have that... resistance to change lol

But 13-2 is a great game. Improves upon a lot of the complaints of 13 while still keeping the great paradigm system.

13 is an abomination. 13-2 is slightly less of an abomination but it's still terrible.

Man I screwed up and activated a big node on a stat I didn't mean to then when to exit and accidentally hit save and there's no respec. This is stressing me out.

I'm like 20 hours in and that one node makes me want to restart the game. The more I read though messing up one isn't that big of a deal.
