Does it help? Are there any drawbacks, like distorted colors?

I have it for my current pair, have had them for about 5 months now. I can't say that I notice a difference one way or another. Definitely doesn't mess with your vision.

If it works the effect has been marginal for me. It was only maybe $8 more with my insurance so I figured it was worth trying.

What would be the point of that?

Blue light from phones and computers tricks your brain into thinking it's time to wake up and is the cause of a lot of self diagnosed "insomnia". By filtering it out you can still doomscroll Facebook in bed before going to sleep and it should lessen the effect.

That's the general gist that I've got on it anyway.

I don't think there is any evidence that blue light hurts your eyes in anyway like iv seen some people say lately. So I don't really see the point in it.

I think some evidence suggest it could affect your sleep, but that's why I try to stay off screens for an hour or so before bed and I'll read a book instead.

I personally tried a cheap pair, not sure what it was, but it almost felt like I was wearing someone else's prescription. Sort of distorted my vision and began to give me a headache right away.

i dont think blue light hurts your eyes, but im not a doctor. its more about keeping you awake at night. i dont think it has that effect on me (again not a doctor), i feel tired and sleep whenever i feel tired. screen brightness doesnt change that (for me)

My optometrist recommended it for me to cut down on eye strain. She said if you work on a computer all day it can help. I did notice a bit of difference at least. My eyes feel a bit more relaxed when I use them.

Oh, that makes sense.

When I was 18, I switched out all the lightbulbs in my bedroom for red bulbs. It felt like i was in a giants colon, but I slept like a baby.
