Sure Nacho was in on it and the other guy who about knew Mike was killed by Gus.

But Lalo starts asking random strangers who Mike is knowing he's a guy in the game who is interfering with Salamanca affairs... and yet doesn't think to ask Hector or Tuco or the Twins? Who all knew about him in detail.

I mean after Nacho they would have been the first dudes I would have asked in Lalo's place.

It's probably a legit plot hole, but there being a guy named Mike and who is also bald isn't very specific. So many bald/shaved dudes in both shows and real life and Mike is a common name.

Sure but how many bald guys called Mike have directly tussled with 4 Salamanca's in the same year a dude called Mike is assisting Gus on some huge mystery project that started at the same time the Salamanca's enterprise got derailed?

It's gotta be less than 3 at least. And Lalo had no leads. He was asking random drug dealers.

It's a stretch, but did the Salamancas even ever learn his name? At the time he got into it with them, Mike was just the old guy who hit Tuco's car and got beat up by him. To them he was just the bald gringo. I guess at some point they had to learn his name somehow though. It's been a minute since I've seen those episodes. There's nobody to really point him out either. Tuco was in jail, the cousins were hiding out in Mexico because of their massacre of the rival gang, and Hector was disabled. Describing an old bald guy with a goatee might raise some suspicion, but there's no actual proof he's connected to all of it.

Like I said though, it's a big stretch.

They absolutely know his name.

Hector finds out he was an ex-cop, where he lives, where his family lives. Then sets the Twins on them. They did a whole background check on the dude.

hell Hector's introduction to Mike is walking into a random cafe and sitting next to him. He knows who Mike is.

Tuco may not know but considering Mike's the one that got him in prison, you'd think he would. Nacho even warns Mike that Tuco is the kind of guy who might come looking for him once he gets out

Hector and the twins would have learned his name. But the twins are useless in a strategy meeting, so that mostly rules them out. Hector is a bit of a stretch. He did have a stroke and spent months before regaining his clarity, I wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't remember a detail about someone recent and insignificant.

Ah, that's right. Didn't think about that. Figured they just followed him and etc. to find him. I guess the only way to justify it is the physical proof. They know a bald guy named Mike works for Gus, but they don't have 100% proof it's him because none of the other Salamancas could identify him at the time. Still a massive stretch though. I guess it's like how Kaylee ages weird. You're not supposed to think about it.

Going by their meeting with Gus in BB and the flashback to them as kids, they can talk/communicate fine. They just...don't for whatever reason. Still, they were in Mexico at the time because of that massive shootout they were in so they couldn't come up and id him at the time.

They can talk, but they don't like to and it's a ton of work and frustrating to get them to. I think it's reasonable that Lalo would have no interest in trying when he has no reason to suspect they know something.

He couldn't just ring them up and ask?

Lalo seems to have an interesting in trying everything else. His entire character seems to be "Guy who actually does/asks stuff."

He has no reason to believe they've encountered him, and again, I don't see them answering any questions. They'd probably just fucking hang up on him if he tries to have a drawn out conversation
