I stopped playing these games a few years ago. I mainly play Be a GM mode and the series went wrong as it seemed to focus more on HUT team buy cards BS. It's only okay if you have an EA Play subscription. You have to go through alot of hoops adjusting sliders and shit to make the game not suck. I think the last version I paid for was 2020. I spent a week trying to balance the sliders. The game was either me scoring a dozens goals a game or the CPU magnetically picking up ever loose puck and incessant perfectly timed poke checks. I couldn't even get the penalty sliders right. No matter how I seemed to set things, the CPU either got to truck me constantly and I would eat a tripping call every time I poke checked. That, or penalties never got called. I wish 2k would get back into NHL games. Too bad they can't get back into NFL simulation games. EA also needs to get back into NBA Live, only make it better.
