It's an Android that I've had for 6 years going on 7 now. The battery drains very quick and it charges slowly :/

Replaced my S8 last month. Battery was draining quicker, but the biggest issue for me was it was getting burn in with icons of stuff I rarely if ever use. The youtube app was showing and I rarely if ever use youtube on my phone. Its not even on the home screen. Not sure how it got burned in.

I have an acatel onyx, it does the minimum pretty well but it's starting to show it's age already, the charging port has a hard time charging my my phone too

So I'm probably gonna go with one of those Samsung Galaxy phones

No joke, I've been strongly contemplating getting one of those smart/flip-phone hybrids. They look cool as hell to me. But they're also super expensive last I checked, unfortunately.

Okay? I don't (usually) give a shit what people spend their money on. I just know that I'm a cheapskate that will hang on to a phone until it can no longer work.
My first smartphone I had to stop using when the company that made them were sending out messages warning that they will disable that particular model because they were so old out of date.

I swear those older Samsung phones were really easy to burn stuff into the screen. I know I got the gamefaqs URL burned into my screen since I was here too much, I guess. Lol.

My Note 10 Plus doesn't have any burn in, though, and I've had it since launch.

Same here, my Note 8's power button fell out, so I pulled out that dumbass Bixby button and replaced it for a temporary fix. The sceen also has some cracks and the usb port doesnt work at all anymore, I have to charge wirelessly

Gotta admire anyone who holds on to an android for that long.

I recently upgraded to a Google Pixel 6 from a Moto G Power (2020) and it's been a pain-free experience.

My only recommendation would be to be sure to update it fully when you get it. It will run warm during the update process, this is normal. Good luck, hope it's pain-free for you as well.

I did hear some people that bought it when it first came out dealt with some bugs, but all of those have been addressed by software updates by now.
