Insist any filibuster is done all Jimmy Stewart style, instead of merely taking a roll-call and giving up.

That's good and all but one of the the shithole states will challenge it and the supreme court will declare the law unconstitutional

But it keeps it on the table for 2023 if the Dems pick up a seat or two in the Senate. World of difference motivating their base with a goal of 52ish Senate seats versus an impossible 60 seat mountain to climb.

That was my initial reaction, but congress can actually specifically exclude the judiciary from having a say on some matters through a process known as judicial stripping.

The GOP is too afraid of when they're out of power, as if they kill the filibuster and the Dems ever take back power then the Dems will pass sweeping reforms without issue that'd severely hamper GOP electioneering efforts.

They benefit more with the filibuster when out of power than are hampered by it when in power.

The only time the GOP removed any kind of filibuster was for Supreme Court nominations, which McConnell said he would do when Obama was President as direct retaliation for democrats removing the filibuster on lower court appointments.

The idea that Democrats need to remove it because in the future Republicans might remove it isn't actually a good argument for removing it and it's not based in reality.
