I was still fine by this. I got it for $5 anyways.

10's robots and weapons disappointed me. I think what bugged me was the majority of them being big shapes with eyes drawn on instead of what appeared to be dudes in stupid cosplay. That sounds petty but I struggle to imbue big angry chunks of metal with much personality.

9 however, I think it's the best in the series. Music, weapon lineup, robots, level design. They nailed it.
It's much easier to assume a personality for the robots too. I like how Hornet Man always looks like he'd really rather be at home watching TV.

It seemed like many of them didnt do full damage unless the secondary effect made contact (commando bomb, chill spikes, rebound striker), or had weird pattens (like, triple blade was powerful, but having the trajectory change to downward when shooting from the air was kinda annoying). Or a combo of both (thunder wool).

Sheep and Strike Man were just plain odd.

One of them had 3 extra bosses and powers and the one you threw in an ark had so much energy and both the powers and stages were kind of cool.

I hated splash women when i first heard of her but then she ended up being my favorite boss master and weapon and actually got me fully on board with women boss masters for 10 to just NOT have any. I was hoping for at least 2 if not 4....

9 was originally going to have 2 female robot masters. You'd assume Jewel Man was the last minute change but if I remember right in the concept art there was a gender-swapped Hornet Man.
