I'm v interested in this game

Just played it for a bit. Only dabbled in the martial arts chapter so far because it's my favorite of the three available (the others being the robot and ninja chapters), and I'm enjoying it just as much as I enjoyed the SFC version. Looks great, sounds great, and the combat is still enjoyable. Eagerly looking forward to the full release.

I haven't played Octopath yet, but I got the impression it's more of a full length RPG, whereas Live A Live is almost entirely bite-sized and self-contained stories, and the main characters of each story don't interact at all until the final chapter, which is more open-ended than all the previous storylines.

Oh, is it? You reckon I'd like it if I loved Live A Live then? And does the Switch version ever go on sale?

I played the snes version years ago with a fan translation.

I'm hearing mixed things with the demo and the content. Can you actually play the 3 scenarios start to finish, or do you get stopped midway because it's a demo? If its the former I'm inclined to start it up.

Ends pretty early, the martial arts chapter ends right after recruiting the three disciples. I imagine the other two story demos are similarly short.

I remember watching a video about the original game and I thought the concept was really cool.

I only played the Imperial China chapter so far, but it seems like an interesting game. I can't imagine it's a particularly long one though. But I'll consider it some time in the future.
