I really want to comment on this, because I see a lot of the hard-right wingnuts pulling this out. They screech, "Keep your legs shut!" while simultaneously demanding that their wives/girlfriends/dates have sex with them constantly. Something tells me these people would blow a gasket if their partners took this "advice" to heart.

It does, because they have actual authority and influence. You should absolutely care that there are people in charge who are objectively evil.
