Age of Empires is a great game. I was in two minds whether to gift that over on top of Spongebob as well but Zero beat me to it lol.

AoE II is my jam, don't play it anywhere as much as I should though lately.

I still have install cds for Age of Empires and I think Age of Empire 2. I evolved from AOE to Empire Earth.

I use the "Follow" button for that. The good thing about that is if you go to your feed, it'll populate it with news and updates about the game.

As a long time fan of Monster Hunter, MHW is incredible, even better with Iceborne as that's where it truly shines the most.

I'm stoked for Sunbreak in a couple of days.

I did gift a copy to AceWingsta the other day as well, who knows, maybe we as a CE / GF group could hunt together for a laugh, I wouldn't mind installing World again to hunt with people here.

I could also play that with you if at some point if you like. Most of my friends aren't particularly big into MH so it's one of those titles I typically hunt alone on.

Rise is a good entry point for a newcomer, probably the most QoL and most accessible game in the MH portfolio to date.

That's exactly why I picked it up, lol. I might take you up on that. It'll be a few weeks before I start it up. I'm supposed to be out of town for a while and got the game for that reason.

Welcome. To clarify though, whilst on his wishlist, it was a key from a previous Humble Bundle, the same way Spongebob was for Trout, thus no need to register in the doc for any drawings.

Seeing as I'm active, does anybody want an Origin key for Command and Conquer Remastered? As much as I love C&C, I don't much like Origin and never use it for anything outside of Sims. I've also played C&C to complete and utter death at this point so. Lemme know.

Aye, I own Cats & Dogs, Parenthood, University, City Life, Seasons and Get Together.

Can't see myself buying any more, they don't offer enough gameplay > value in my eyes and to be honest, stuff like Seasons should be base game at this point anyway, as well as Parenthood.

EA's terrible monetisation is kind of seeping into their CC / mod community too, where more and more people are charging for access to their content via Patreon. Some of them are ridiculous too. The other day I found one that charged 15.50 a month to get access to their stuff, best part is, people are paying for it too.

I haven't played any Souls games so I could be wrong, but from what I've seen, they're pretty similar. MH is more instanced than Souls. It's like everything you fight are boss monsters, and the gameplay loop is getting drops from monsters to build better gear and weapons. Repeat until you fight stronger enemies and no longer want to build gear or weapons. You'll find the common adage "git gud" to be a widely used phrase, as the main draw for it, imo, is building up your own skill level to fight faster and stronger enemies. People have fought the toughest monsters naked, because the most important factor in completing a hard quest is your own skill level.

Of course, the last MH game I've played was MH4U, so I don't know how much MHW and MHR have changed the series. I've heard MHW hyper casualized the series so maybe it's a good entry point.

There's a free game called Dauntless that I'm surprised isn't on Steam that gives you a pretty good idea of what MH is.

I don't have Parenthood, but I have the rest of those plus Work and Cottage Living.

I couldnt really get into the DS series either :(

If you like really really deep combat systems and deliberate hits like how Souls games do it, then Monster Hunter is right up your alley.

Gonna spend the next couple weeks getting everything set up to truly game on my PC. Id love to pay what I can with you all.

Edit: been real hard with Twins. But I think I've come up with a idea finally.

Well I'm off work tomorrow. Letting the kid get his energy out with beat saber so I can send him to bed. I've been doing a binging of the Simpsons on Disney+ so that's probably how I'll spend the rest of my night. What about y'all?
