There are people who do care about it and see it as a life. I'm technically pro-choice and I still see a fetus as a human life. It's being able to manipulate those beliefs that allows them to net a much larger group of supporters than if they were open about, "Yeah, we just want to control women." ... Copied to Clipboard!

I dont think most pro-lifers take that stance to control women, since there are tons of pro-life women as well (although there are definitely pro-lifers who also see controlling women as a goal). I think its a lot of people who view abortion as killing fully grown babies, and therefore evil.
