Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition
They gave Dante an alternate color based on the soulless reboot that had no combat depth, color coded enemies and virtually no likeability. The one they got journalists to try and attack the fanbase over because they had nothing of substance to say about the gameplay. Fortunately for Dante he also got his LDK costume from DMC1 and DMC3 back, complete with the Sparda Devil Trigger form.

DMC4 on the whole was also unfinished, you'd play 10 levels as Nero then in reverse as Dante with a few last bosses and another level at the end.
The gameplay was a lot of fun though, it was fast and it was the first time Dante had been allowed access to four styles + Dark Slayer which you'd unlock later. Nero was brand new and if you weren't up to scratch with all the tech you could still have a lot of fun with how strong exceeds, charge shot 3 and the buster arm in general were.

I don't know about DMC4SE being the best one though. I am leaning more toward DMC3SE myself.

Unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty sure they're referring to the reboot. But I would agree that DMC3 is the best overall, but DMC4 has the best gamplay imo. I even enjoyed the reboot for what it was, but I'm glad they went back to the original story with DMC5.

No I'm fairly certain all things considered he's on about DMC4:SE. He said the game he meant was actually the best one and with 10 years of people plugging away at it, refining tech and 5 playable characters, DMC4:SE has a case to be made.
Perhaps TC is a big fan of Distorted Real Impacts, Rebellion having access to Drive before it was taken and reserved for DSD in 5, or that taunt where Nero plays a guitar forever.
