At least with Newport (and this is just my observation from afar) but regardless of how many times he came out of rehab or jail and had a "new lease on life" he never seemed to be in the "rehabilitated" state of mind. Like just based on what he would say on here. It was never him talking about how he was turning his life around and off anything for good, but was just all about staying off drinking and drugging just long enough to get someone or something off his back (his parents, employer, the law, etc) so he could go right back to his old habits when that oversight was removed from his life. He never really seemed to take it seriously. --- Not removing this until Mega Man 64 is released on the Wii Virtual Console. Ive know people who were worse off who bounced back, but they never healed until they were ready to take the steps. This guy took the steps to sobriety because he was forced to do so and he never (to my knowledge) voluntarily tried to achieve sobriety. He was going through a lot of that court ordered rehab stuff when I was going through a voluntary substance abuse program and the reason Ive stayed sober for almost six years is because I was ready to make the change. He will get there, I hope, but the change has to come from the him. Everyone I know/knew who used meth either did time in jail/prison or is deceased (not from meth overdose, but the lifestyle that comes along with it is rough).
