The show overall manages to make most villains more compelling but so far thanks to this format Dooku looks like even more of a dunce. Like his entire input on the Clone Wars seems to be; Villain of the week calls Count Dooku over the hologram Villain of the week: My plans that will turn the tide of war to our favor are progressing perfectly Count Dooku: Excellent. I trust that you will not let me down. plans are disrupted Villain of the week: I have failed/I am failing Count Dooku! Count Dooku: You have let me down...for the last time! Then in Revenge of the Sith he dies and nobody gives a shit. What a loser. His plan (I think?) was to trick the Jedi into finding and using the Clone army. Except he literally tells Obi-Wan that the Republic is explicitly in control of a Sith Lord. So he got relegated to being the bad guy over the bad guys you'd see every week. It's weird how he wound up taking a back seat, more or less, to Maul. --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. Being the leader of the Separatists, by overthrowing Palpatine (with justification), he could have reunited the Galaxy, avoided the impending war and ruled. Considering his status as a former Jedi, I get the feeling that Dooku was never fully bought into being a flat out Sith.
