There was a point years ago when I'd see people on longboards every day.

Haven't seen one in quite a while though.

I see people on them every day. Probably just a regional thing.

Growing up, a lot of areas in metro Philly had banned skating, where it had been fine before. Around here is similar, it's somewhat considered a crime I guess, but anyone skating gets chased off. Not sure if there are any parks around here or not.

In high school, lots of people had boards, I skated to school sometimes. It doesn't seem to have the draw around here, maybe it's a South thing too.

I see it fairly often in vegas. But kids are getting lazy these days. Back then you had to move your legs on a bike or board. Now you just hop on and it does all the work for you.

I know a few people who skate.

The other day I was hanging out at the skatepark with a new buddy and he was rollerblading. Like legit aggressive inline grinds and shit. That I haven't seen in forever.

I havent seen many skaters lately too

I remember a few years ago I would bust out the inlines and would always get heckled by random passing skaters... jokes on them the sidewalks and empty parking lots are mine now, I'm still out there rolling around meanwhile I haven't seen any skaters in like 2-3 years now

I do still see some in other cities occasionally though

That's what we used to call rollerbladers back in my skateboarding days. I don't even know why.

yeah that was the most common thing lol. My history is rusty but from what I recall it's something to do with making it seem "gay" or whatever, back in the 90s and early 00s there would be skating magazines and videos that skaters would make wearing like booty shorts and crop tops and stuff with inlines on doing the whole flamboyant thing, hearing things like "fruitbooter" or "gayblader" or hearing the same joke a billion times "What's the hardest part about rollerblading? Telling your parents you're gay". Thankfully people are more chill for the most part these days

I see a lot of people on Onewheel. Google tells me dey are $1500, wouldnt have guessed dey cost so much.

I see people on boards all the time at my university. Probably mostly just for ease of getting around though. I sometimes see people gathered together doing simple tricks though. There is no way I would attempt to do any tricks past my late 20's.
