I believe in other red states, the limit for it being a misdemeanor is actually higher.

For example, Ohio has it as $1000 and below is a misdemeanor. No one is bitching about the progressive soft on crime laws of Ohio though.
How often does stuff get stolen in Ohio compared to San Francisco?

I don't know, do you?
Is the idea that if California has more theft then the limit should be lower?

Look into who raised the man and how he grew up. Considering it was literal domestic terrorists who reared him I am not shocked he sided with criminals and allowed the city to be trashed under his watch.
Imagine having the gall to harumph about "domestic terrorists" when you're a Trump supporter.

Reality is a narrative?

In a world where CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, Washington Post, New York Times, etc. exist, yets.

If raising the limit led to the increase in theft, then yes, it absolutely should.

I read property and violent crime went down under his time as DA. Is that not true?

Doesn't the police being vocally anti-Boudin kinda throw a wrench in the idea that they were juking the states to his benefit?

Not when upper management police are playing the numbers game, telling cops to let shoplifting go unpunished, telling cops to stand down during protests, etc.

I always wonder if just doing it quietly without media talking about it, rather than talking about the new raised limits, would have been better.

I mean, it's not as if these people are going around searching for new law updates

Is this the guy that made stealing less than 950 a misdemeanor? If so then good fucking riddance.

That was Prop 47, the Safe Schools and Streets bill.

From what Ive read on it, his progressive approach to crime led to even more problems and he often sided with criminals over victims. Sounds like he had no business being elected.

He was basically a hardcore defense attorney for criminals as the district attorney...the person responsible to prosecuting people not supposed to be defending them. I am glad this literal piece of shit is gone. His actions led to a lot of Asian hate crime. He convinced elderly Asians who were a victim of hate crimes to either not prosecute these criminals or he blatantly lied and told everyone the elderly Asians didn't want to punish these criminals so he didn't go after these criminals harder

That sucks. They're just gonna replace him with some bootlicker that hates poor people

I truly pray that you have a DA that literally don't prosecute criminals who commit violent crime. I really mean that and I hope if something happens to you that they will just let those criminals go with a very stern words of "don't do it again" like Chesa Boudin has done.
