Yeah not having to be constantly jumping your entire play through would be nice.

pokemon games have challenge mode option from start where levels scale 2 match urs potions r half as effective and ur only allowed same number of pokemon as ur opponent

Remove the Morrowind mechanic where running (and by 'running' I mean 'walking at a brisk pace') drains stamina. It's Current Year dammit, and I shouldn't have to abuse the Boots of Blinding Speed just to enjoy this game.

maybe a button you can hold in ND games so you can skip the walking and talking sections, if you want to.

like, TLoU games are a couple of my favorite, but the walking and talking sections can sometimes keep me from wanting to replay them.

edit: also remove weapon durability from BotW, or at least, for certain weapons.

An official Nuzlocke mode would be cool

Remove all the unnecessary text in pokemon battles. I don't need to read a text box and see a special animation every time Intimidate activates or a rainstorm starts.

In addition to his terrible design, uselessness, and the fact that he was committee-forced into the game mid-production, Vaan's also aggressively shitty personality-wise with a perpetual chip on his shoulder and a stick up his ass, but he's paradoxically way too bland to be relatable about any of it. It's like they deliberately took Tidus, sandblasted away every positive quality about him (notably the enthusiastic personality and story payoff), and stuck him in Ivalice apropos of nothing.

Removing him from the game opens up a can of worms upon closer inspection, sure. But at face-value, I don't see a Vaan-less Penelo forcing herself into scenes and dragging them down with her presence the way Vaan does.
