It's a comedy, anything should be on the table if it comes to humor, sexuality, race, gender all of it should be able to used in the name of humor. I dont really have an issue with the film itself, I do think the scene in question goes pretty far into poor taste comedy, I dont necessarily want to excuse it as a sign of the times, it really kinda is.
